HOLE 9, PAR 4 INDEX: 7

Another masterpiece by Watson. This hole is tough because it is played uphill with various deep bunkers scattered along the way to increase the challenge. The hole is doglegged left uphill but the wiser route would be to aim right of centre to afford a better view of a green that is well guarded by bunkers. Even after a good long drive, there is little room for mistakes when attacking the green as the forward right bunkers come into play. Par here is a good score. The fairway is nicely contoured and you get various lies as you prepare for your next shot.
